Ella has wanted a My Fairy Garden since she first laid eyes on it on TV. So when the lovely people at Interplay  sent us one to review both girls were ecstatic!
And they could barely contain their excitement during the unboxing.
The My Fairy Garden comes beautiful packaged, and it comes with everything you need to put it together barring of course the soil.

Box contents include :

1× plastic bowl

1× fairy figurine

1× oyster shell

1× sparkly fairy cottage

1× carpet {for the cottage}

1× packet of grass seeds

1× coloured gravel

1× fairy mushroom

 1× mouse

1× fairy flowers

1× fairy stars

1× blanket {for the clothes line}

1x clothes line with post and pegs

1× instruction booklet

This is a nice little project/activity to do as a family on a lovely summer’s day.
Once we had emptied out the box contents.

We started off by filling our plastic bowl with soil and leveling it up. Then we began to assemble the fairy house. This was the most difficult part as the foam house is really flimsy and finicky. My husband couldn’t build it, so there was no way my six year old would have been able too.

Then we added the water feature. Next we put down our beautiful coloured gravel path. Both girls enjoyed this and commented on how pretty the coloured gravel was. We had a little trouble with our washing line so we opted to leave it out for the time being. So instead we added our fairy Belle, the flowers, the mushroom and the mouse. Once the girls were satisfied they filled the water feature and they were done.

We left out the grass seeds and stars down to personal preferences.
Our overall thoughts are whilst this is a very sweet product, for younger children it can prove a little tricky. We also weren’t to impressed with the foam fairy house. A plastic house would have been a much better option in our opinion. As for the grass we aren’t convinced this is a good idea either, but that’s based purely on personal preference as I mentioned above.

My Fairy Garden is part of a collectable range that encourages children to interact with nature though play and imagination. It retails at £14.99 prices may vary.
