As I sit here writing this post I am completely baffled!
The signs are there. Holly absolutely freaks out when she has a wet nappy. So much so she demands be changed immediately.
And yet for the life of me I can’t get her to use her potty. She was all excited about her potty when she got it and she could wait to use it. But when the time came for her to sit on it….
She sat there for a brief moment before demanding to get off.
Since then Holly has flat out refused to sit on it again. Even if i try to gently persuade her she gets a little worked up.
I really don’t want to pressure her or even force her to use it, as I’m sure this will only make matters worse.
So now the big question is what should I do?
I have thought about sitting one of her teddies on the potty and using a squirty bottle to pretend teddy has just gone. In the hope that that might encourage her to use her potty.
Other than trying that I’m all out of ideas.
Perhaps you lovely readers could suggest some ideas.
